Using Zoom to watch and follow our online classes
From Tuesday 17th March, our classes will be available to watch on Zoom instead of being in person whilst the Covid-19 situation develops.
To make sure you’re able to enjoy a smooth viewing experience, please read these instructions carefully. We recommend you allow time to familiarise yourself with them, so you can check everything’s working well in advance of the class time.
Joining the Class
Once you have booked yourself onto the class, we’ll send you a unique link to watch the event approximately an hour before the transmission. This link is unique to you, so please don’t forward it on to anyone else. Please check your spam folder if you haven’t received it 30 minutes before the transmission time.
For the best viewing experience we recommend downloading and installing the Zoom app, which you can do here. Select ‘Zoom Client for Meetings’ at the top of the page.
Watching the Class
Try to minimise other streaming on your internet connection during the transmission so that the stream quality is as high as possible.
Please be aware that you won’t be able to pause or rewind the broadcast once it’s started, so make sure you have a power connection nearby – and water ready.
Participating in the Class
Click the link to join the Class before the start time. At the time the class is due to start, the teacher will log in and start the live lesson.
Please ignore the ‘chat’ and ‘raise hand’ icons at the bottom of the screen – this event is view-only, it isn’t interactive.
If you lose connection during the event, or something goes wrong that requires you to rejoin, simply click on the link again and you can rejoin the live class.
We hope you enjoy these online classes!
