What is Pilates?
Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps improve fitness and overall wellbeing. Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility and is a full-body workout.
What are the benefits of Pilates?
Practitioners say regular pilates can improve posture, muscle tone, balance and joint mobility, as well as relieve stress and tension. Pilates develops whole-body strength and flexibility, and helps reduce the risk of injury.

These classes will be kept deliberately small so that all students are well cared for and everyone’s health conditions can be taken into account. The class is done in bare feet. As with all our sessions, the instructor can lend you a mat if you need one at first but please do bring a mat if you already have one. Make sure that you fill out the health screening form before your first class.
