With over 100 years of combined experience between us, we have found that working together means we can provide you with an extensive range of classes, workshops and special events.
Each of us has a different specialism or particular passion, giving us great depth of our offerings and something for everyone.
Meet the Team
Adam’s infectious sense of humour and incredible commitment to his professional environment means you’ll be totally inspired by his classes.
Qualified in many other concepts, we’re fortunate to have Adam join us in his role as BodyBalance instructor. His calm delivery will leave you feeling refreshed, flexible and feeling strong.
Alison came to Pilates after finding problems with traditional exercise. She used to run whenever her demanding public sector career allowed her to but found that Pilates improved her runnings times and overall wellbeing, even improving her marathon time by 30 minutes!
Alison is inspired by Pilates and the control that it gives you of both mind and body. She trained to become a Pilates teacher to work with people to increase their physical and mental fitness.
Alison truly believes that Pilates can and does improve lives.
Andy has more than ten years experience in the mindfulness world, learning from internationally renowned teachers and spending time on retreat in monasteries around the world. His warm style of delivery encompassing those new to meditation as well as people who’ve been practicing for some time.
Ange has been in the health and fitness industry for over 30 years, teaching everything from Body Pump to Step, Aerobics to BodyBalance. She has seen many changes over the years, but the one constant is the fabulous participants who come to make a difference – be it lose weight, run a marathon, become a little more bendy, improve their sport or aid their recovery from injury or illness. Ange specialises cardiac rehabilitation, where she now works as an Exercise Physiologist with the NHS. She loves her job dearly and is grateful that she can make a positive change in the lives of those who have cardiac issues. Ange’s main aim in life is to maintain a positive outlook in everything she does and she firmly believes that exercise is a key influencer in this.
Caelia began practicing yoga in her teens and has been teaching for over 10 years. Her classes are a mix of Hatha yoga, somatics and vinyasa flows, working on strength and flexibility, whilst helping to calm busy minds. She is passionate about the therapeutic side of yoga, ensuring it is accessible and safe to all.
Specialist Workshops Teacher
Caroline works as a coach-therapist specialising in anxiety relief. She has worked around the world in health and wellbeing for over 28 years’ and is a qualified Life Coach, Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Fitness Instructor, Holistic Healthcare Practitioner, and Hypnotherapist. Caroline teaches a variety of workshops for Liberty Wellbeing.
Chelvi has been practicing Meditation for over 18 years and teaching it for about 10 years. In her classes Chelvi emphasises the importance of practically using mindfulness to deal with difficult emotions such as stress, anxiety, worry, disharmony, low self worth and find peace of mind and joy in our lives. Her classes are always insightful, clear, and easy to apply to everyday life. Chelvi is a mother and was social worker working for many years mainly in end of life care.
Faye’s gentle and warm delivery of yoga is perfect for beginners.
Heidi has been practicing Pilates for 12 years, starting in response to a whiplash injury. The benefits are transformative, not only in terms of rehabilitation but also strength, balance and self-awareness. In her owns words, “I’ve never gone back”.
Heidi has been teaching for a number of years, running countryside mindfulness retreats, with elements of Pilates and Yoga. Trained in mat-work Pilates, a wholly simple and engaging practice which she is passionate about. With focus on control, precision, breathing, concentration, flow and centring, Heidi truly believes that pilates is a great method to stay aware, fit and strong.
Tai Chi & Yoga Teacher
John has been trained in Fitness, Yoga, Tai Chi, Chi Kung, and Martial Arts since the 1980s. He’s trained and qualified in Asia, USA, and Europe with some of the world’s premier Teachers. He continues this personal journey, considering himself still a student. He began teaching in the late 80s, at various UK venues, including the St John’s Aids and Cancer Hospice in London in the 90s, and retreat centres both in the UK and Thailand.
Kay has been been practicing yoga for almost 10 years to stabilise and strengthen her knee and back. She enjoys all types of yoga but loves the challenge of Rocket and Ashtanga.
Having qualified as a yoga teacher with Sally Parkes in London, Kay strives to constantly learn as there is so much good stuff out there.
Kay believes yoga completes the fitness and wellbeing circle.
Her classes are fun and relaxing, with a bit of a challenge.
Yoga & Pilates Teacher
Lara trained at Triyoga London and has 15 years of Yoga experience. Her teaching style is alignment based posture & flow.
Her style is dynamic but thoughtful. Her knowledge & teaching gently encourages the playful exploration of classical Yoga Asana.
Lara aims to provide a Yoga experience for students to discover, reveal and embrace their full potential on and off the mat.
Lisa’s fitness journey began ten years ago. She has gone on to become a fitness instructor, nutritionist and a personal trainer and delivers many other class concepts in addition to BodyBalance™.
She has a great sense of fun, a commitment to provide excellent levels of service and her traditional dance background is apparent during her classes. She’ll encourage you to work at the right level for you for maximum benefits.
Tai Chi Teacher & Co-Owner
After being diagnosed with M.E. in 2015, Simon spent a long time researching how to recover. Healthy eating, a positive mindset, gentle exercise and a strong self-focus have been instrumental in him getting back on his feet. He now spends time helping others with M.E. and similar conditions get back on track with life.
Having qualified as a Tai Chi Teacher, he is keen to show people just how transformative the practice can be.
Susan is trained in many concepts in addition to BodyBalance™ and brings enthusiasm and energy to all her classes. You’ll find her empathetic style a real benefit in these gentle classes and you’re guaranteed to feel energised yet relaxed after joining her classes.
David has enjoyed being a student of Liberty Wellbeing for some time. He continues his passion for wellbeing, with a keen interest in yoga.
David is excited about furthering his practice and growing Liberty Wellbeing into the future.
